About IIBA®


The IIBA® is the independent non-profit professional association serving the growing field of Business Analysis. Whatever your role requirements - management, systems analysis, business analysis, requirements analysis, project management or counseling - if you are involved in analysis for systems, business or process improvement, IIBA® can help you do your job better.

The IIBA® held its inaugural meeting in October 2003, in Toronto, Canada with 28 founding members from 21 different organizations representing over eight countries.

The idea to form the Charlotte Metro Chapter of the IIBA® was started in September 2006 with members from our 2007 Premier Sponsor, Wachovia Corporation.  After accomplishing our necessary pre-work, we held our kickoff meeting at the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce in March 2007, with a significant turnout of potential members.  We were officially chartered as a chapter in May 2007, and held our launch celebration at the Hilton Charlotte Center City on July 28, 2007.  We hold monthly chapter meetings which are designed to be both networking and educational opportunities for chapter members and prospective members.
